Cricket SW3 vs full size golf cart

Was at Fort Wilderness recently and saw a Cricket SW3. Had never seen one before and was impresed with the size and the fact that it pretty much kept up with the larger carts around. Have been thinking about purchasing a used cart to bring in back of truck. The Cricket looks interesting and the price and weight are great. The web site doesn't give a lot of info and actual pricing and purchasing are vague. The website says the hardtop option is discontinued and was wondering why. I've emailed for more info but looking for pros/cons between the SW3 and a used EZ Go or Club Car.
  • We have a 7 year old Cricket, we bought last year, that we use for campground hosting jobs as we travel around the country.

Pros: It is small, light, and performs as good as any full sized golf cart. In the stowed position it takes only about 1/4 of our truck bed leaving lots of storage room for other stuff.

Con: A chipping paint problem, but mostly with the red color only. The front seat is too narrow for two adults to sit comfortably side by side, unless they are small or it is a short ride.

Overall, we love ours as it is dependable. and fits our needs perfectly.

    Hope this helps.
  • The cricket is tiny and can fit in the back of a mid sized or full sized SUV, and in the back of small truck. A Golf car can fit in the back of a full sixed truck, or trailer haul it behind and RV. The Cricket your but hands over the side of the seat because its really narrow, Stick with a Full sized Golf car.
