Not even close! Local weather guys have done some calculation based on norms and figure mid-April before the snow is gone. That's in Boston. Other areas such as where I live got more snow than they did. My yard varies from a low of about a foot to upwards of 5 feet. We had a lot of drifting plus ya gotta pile it somewhere! The paths we snowblowed to the dog kennel, bird feeders, etc., are now almost snow free, but the mud is horrendous. Ground is still too frozen to absorb much.
On an up note (if you want to call it that!) Boston beat the all-time record for snowfall in a season! 108.6 inches, with 90 of it falling in 30 days. And the "season" goes from 6/30-7/1 to include spring and fall snows, so it ain't over yet! Other records fell as well, such as highest snow total in a month.
Just a head's up to some of you who might be considering early-season camping-bring your mud boots! :B
