Cruise control or not

I always use my CC when towing on the freeway.

I use it as much as I can, partly due to an old hip injury on the right side makes for some pain on a long day if I have to hold the pedal manually.
My Nissan is a manual transmission, so I don't have the issues of an automatic being downshifted due to an over zealous cruise control. Like others have said, I agree about not using it on rain slick ( or other slick ) roads.

Depends on the vehicle for me. In my diesel, I used it pretty much everywhere, mountains, flats, whatever. The vehicle had no trouble keeping the speed right where I wanted it.

My 1/2 ton Suburbans have had a harder time keeping the speed right there, and will lose speed on a minor incline, overpass, etc. With the cruise on, the truck falls all over itself to keep it right at speed, and I didn't like the redline shifts to pick up the 4-5 mph I lost when I knew that I'd be able to make the speed back up on the other side of the hill with constant pressure on the pedal. So I almost never use cruse towing with my Suburban.

I haven't towed enough w/ my F150 Ecoboost to know what will work yet. I expect it will do much better than my Suburban on flat or small inclines, but I will find out soon!

I use it as much as possible. It's the only way I can drive so slowly! It's pretty well impossible for me to drive 62mph otherwise. :D

I use it as much as I can, it makes for a much easier trip IMO.

I have to believe if the Manufacturer did not want us to use it when towing, they would deactivate cruise control when Tow/Haul is selected.

The only time I DO NOT USE CRUISE is on rainy or slick road. I just completed a 2100+ mile drive and was on Tow/Haul and cruise the entire time, except for heavy traffic and slick/rainy road. I probably could get better mileage using the foot throttle, but at what cost. I still can react to traffic situations just as quickly when necessary while on cruise. My Duramax is equipped with a turbo brake and I was able to experience it in action when the vehicle in front of me reduced speed drastically for a deer.

Two things I use all the time are Tow/Haul and cruise.

The last three Tow vehicles I have owned I did not use the cruise at all, unless on long stretches of flat land. My experience is that the cruise will cause the tranny to downshift much more and accelerate more harshly to maintain speed than I will on my own. I average about 1 to 1 1/2 mpg less when using the cruise control. That said, it is much more relaxing to have both feet on the floor.

I use the cruise as much as I can. Sure helps with the fuel mileage.

Use it on flatland and without a serious headwind. Hills or stupid headwind will cause way premature downshifts.
