I would like to mention that people lie, right to your face. I cant remember how many times a season, in many different parks were I will ask about their guest on site. "Oh they are only here for a few minutes." Right. A few hours later, "Oh they are just leaving" All the while the kids are still in the pool.
I find it extremely distasteful to play cop with this kind of thing. It's always a confrontation. And I can never win No matter how nicely I talk to people, I am always the rude employee.
I overheard an employee of our (condo) park, a retired Sheriff's Deputy who spent many years dealing with nonsense, having just such a 'chat' with a renter on one site, it went something like this;
Employee: No, I just wanted to point out that since they didn't stop and register as visitors they're technically trespassing and so if anything ever happened we've have no alternative but to charge them and you.
Renter: Oh, of course, I'll follow you back to the office and register them now., thank you.
Amazing how phrasing it one way or another means people suddenly change their outlook on things.
