Dam Box Elders

the dishsoap and water work well....at home just got tired of them so we cut down both box elder trees!

Found one, inside, on the kitchen window, this afternoon. Pesky things. I know the soap and water works well for awhile.

Unfortunatley they are.swarming my camper.I can try the dawn and wash the camper at the sam time .

Yup thankfully Dawn Dish Soap and a little water in a spray bottle takes care of the little buggers without using any harmful chems.

Now if only they could come up with a way to get rid of those darn asian ladybug beetles as easily. :(

Dawn dish soap mixed with water sprayed directly on the bugs. They like late afternoon sun so spray them when they are sunning on a garage or house wall. Pesky things, but they drop immediately when they are sprayed. Also works for many other garden pests and will not hurt your plants.

For most of the places we go, it's not box elders but those damn STINK BUGS! Not much but crushing them helps!

I have a 2-1/2 gallon sprayer that i keep full all summer. Couple of squirts of Dawn dish soap and fill with water. Once sprayed there lucky to make 6 inches.

Mom and Dad had several massive Box Elders. The bugs would get all oer the house and everything. They are called good bugs since they won't affect us except for the ick factor or so I understand.
I tried all kinds of bug sprays, ethanol, and gasoline. The gas of course killed a few but did a lot more damage to the test tree.
The ethanol didn't do anything.
Soapy water. If it works for others it will work for us. Don't think we tried that.

Spray with soapy water works for us. Spray it on the bugs.
