Use steel wool and chink it into any opening even those you think they can't pass thru. Chink around pipes, electrical, gas lines, and water line openings. Mice and rats are the biggest offenders and will lay waste to an RV in short order. The use of dryer sheets and peppermint oil is good but not all inclusive. It is good to cut off their entries. They will eat the insulation off of wiring, strip the canvas off of the flexible heating and cooling ducts. They have been known to chew thru a plastic water line. They pack in trash and once you find their calling card a full inspection is wise in order to evaluate what was damaged. Don't forget rodents are carriers of the Hanta Virus. If they get in a good cleanup is advisable.
