Matt Taibbi is a very inquisitive writer. Very good, I'd say. He has uncovered a LOT of stuff. He is one of the reasons I left underground financial research 3 years ago - I got burned out spending 40-50 hours a week learning about how the real world works; who is doing what to who behind their back, or even to them up front, how, why, when, and where. I finally had enough, and the point about corporate people not going to jail, especially the Financial Mob (who make the Italian Mobs look like chumps), which includes nearly every company in the financial sector globally, is spot-on.
