Regarding the Let's see if this thread gets deleted.
This forum is supported in part by a company that owns several campgrounds.
NOW: for a fact, I do not know if Affinity asks people to sign such a waiver, and likely never will know unless someone in this thread tells me.
But what that statement means is I can understand the question.
Also, the question opens ye-old, can of worms.. And that too can cause issues, it can cause people to get, shall we say, a bit "Warm" (Flame on) and flaming can also get a thread closed or deleted... So I understand the question.
I will say this: If I had my choice between two campgrounds, basically equal save for the waiver.. I'd choose the one that did NOT require the waiver. And let someone know why.
That said; one of my RVing friends, has been sued.. High wind, they tried to take down a tent (Danger of it being blown away) it got away from them and a family that stopped to laugh (Downwind of course) got hurt.. Family sued both Campground and Campers..
Question: Who's fault was it.. The idiots standaing there downwind laughing, The campground, (Which properly passed on the warning) or the family trying to prevent what happened, even though the man of the house (1 man, one woman one girl) was/is on the "Disabled" list?
(Had I been there I'd have helped him but alas it was my week out).
