Until you read up on the hundres of tickets issued by the meter droids to cars that where not in the city (with proof) and other issues they are just as useless. Police, I don't see them as revenue generators. But these tickets are not issued by DC policy officers but by a corporation with pretty much blanket approval from DCPD and a share of the fines. This is why they are sole revenue generators, they do nothing to deter repeat offenders.
Then when you get a bad ticket like the 2 I got in the past 4 years and the DC gov response is just pay the fine, its no points on my license (even though I was not the offender) tells me thats all they want is the revenue.
