Have to tell my story. Was coming off I-255 westbound to head south on I-55. Luckily I was till on the ramp leading to 55 when I noticed in front of me, the small car swerve to the left of the land and bounce up on the curb, then swerved back and forth till he got control of his little car. Then I saw what he was avoiding, a spare tire and rim off of a work truck, probably a 1 ton pickup, well I was not going to bounce off the curb and took the straight route, cleared over the tire and rim until it got to the rear end. Dragged the tire and rim till I could get on the shoulder. The service guy was told what had happened and had brought a piece of 2x12 wood plank and had me drive up on it and he crawled under the rig andpulled the tire and rim out. No damage.
Yipee
Years ago we were coming home from a family parth on a two lane road with houses and subdivisions on both sides, the time was near 1 in the morning. Sitting on the double yellow line was a upside down 20# propane tank. What a mess that wold have made if someone would have hit it. I stopped the car and walked back and got the tank and took it home. It was about 1/2 full. No other traffic on the road at that time.
