Decal removal.

09 Cedar Creek. If i remove the covered bridge decals from my trailer will there impression still be quite obvious?
  • The outlines will be visible. With professional buffing they will be less visible for a time after each buffing and will eventually be less noticeable. We removed the decals from our 2008 Montana about 5 years ago and I (non-professional) used several products guaranteed to make the ghost images go away. Nothing worked for more than 6 months to a year. The longer the RV sits out the sun will eventually almost even the gel coat out.
  • Yes, definitely. But for me it worked great. I was fortunate enough to get replacement decals. After removing the old ones, there was a nice shiny area where each piece of decal had been. Made it real easy to properly place the new decals when installing them.
  • For me id rather the pictures of covered bridges were not there at all.
Will Cedar give any decals free of charge? Some manufacturers do.
  • Definitely will show up. There are a few options:
    - Live with it and over a couple years it will fade to a more even color.
    - Paint the end caps
    - Put on a new decal which will break up the area and make it hard to see the discoloration unless you get up close and look for it.
  • Found sign painter who was reasonable , had them painted back on. Best thing we did on outside dress-up.
