Deposit fee for dogs

Damage deposits have been around for many years. Since Hotels, motels, apartment and home rentals, Car rental agencies and a multitude of other entities appear to be able to handle it, I would think even dumb ole campground owners could do it as well. Like most of those businesses, the vast majority of the deposits would be nothing more than a waiver that allows a credit card charge in the case of a covered incident. Probably only cash paying customers would actually have to post a true deposit. None of the other businesses are required to have an inspection prior to departure, their word (and generally photographic evidence) is good enough for the credit card companies, so it would be good enough for campgrounds as well.

Goggle is your friend. A quick search revealed at least 10 campgrounds that meet your criteria, on the first 3 pages. They are out there, but you do have to look. No offense meant.

In our winter spot, the rules are handed to you on check in. Around the park are many signs that say:

"Break the rules once $25.00 fine.
Break them a second time, eviction with no refund."

It works. NO one speeds. Everyone picks up after their dogs, and it is quiet at night.

People are actually evicted.

This has turned into a typical rant here. It doesn't matter whether it's about dogs (pooping, barking, etc) loud children, loud music, bright lights, golf carts. idling diesels and the list goes on and on.

There is only ONE answer to these never ending complaints. It's all about individuals who have absolutely no concern about anyone else but themselves. It really is that simple.

Why dont you call and ask?

Camping is for families with kids,dogs,cats and maybe even the ones who enjoy themselves with a little camp party with noise. Resorts are for people who hate kids,dogs,cats and having fun. That's why we stick to state parks where you can live and have fun, not sit in your big show off rig and worry about neighbors with kids,dogs and cats. Get out there and meet these people and join in the fun,you might live longer.

I wouldn't spend my money at such a park.

So I guess the answer is a little different from that viewpoint. Just as simple though If you don't like that the campgrounds allow dogs you are free not to camp there.
