So the high temperature limit tells you when the tire is over 150F degrees or something so that you can check it for a stuck brake cylinder? That is a great idea.
It would also alarm if the hub bearings where stuck from not being lubed properly. I would guess that 150 would be a 'normal' temperature and set off the alarm when nothing is wrong, while 175 might not happen until there is a bearing failure starting to happen, or brakes hanging up.
