Yes, correct, they found the problem to be the original connectors, however they did not reuse, they left them in place and cut an splices the new magnates in after the original connectors so now there were multiple connectors in each wire.

Also, as others have said, with the brake controller on "full" or the emergency pin pulled (with a good battery) the brakes should be drawing 12 amps (3 per wheel). If it's not something is still wrong.

[COLOR=]They stated total of 3 amps, will have to check, brakes are definitely better, very hard to pull from a stop, not as good as I would expect once moving

Do you now have the trailer and the parts they removed?

If not, getting them to do the right thing may hinge on you having the old parts.
