Too protect your 2015 new trailer warranty I would contact the dealer/mfg and get their input as to the type of sealant(s) required as they will supply you with the trailers warranty.
Generally butyl tape is used first and excess squeezed out is removed. Then a self leveling sealant goes over screw heads and the joint.
