Different manufacturers

I have a rather odd question and as I always say to my grandchildren if you don't know, never be afraid to ask!

Have you ever heard of a brand of RV's being made by two different manufacturers?
I ask because when researching about our TT I came across this info. Our TT is a Discover Canada. Ours was manufactured by Monaco. Now, Heartland also produced RV's for Discover Canada.
Is this a common practice? If it is, it really enforces my opinion that the majority of RV's are made the same way and same quality.

  • It sounds to me like Discover Canada is a retailer and not a manufacturer. They contract with a builder to make certain RVs to their specs & price and sell them. Pontiac Vibe was built by Toyota, Mercury van of a few years back was actually a Nissan under the sheet metal.
