I don't know if I would be using magnetic brake lights. I installed diodes in my 99 Honda CRV and my current car, it is pretty easy.
I ran a 4 wire from the front to the back, under the carpet, into the space near the left turn signal. Then under the back end from one side to the other. I cut the wire going to the yellow turn signal and installed the diode. It has two inputs and one output. Output goes to the light, one input from the motorhome one from the car.
Then your lights will be set up all the time, and all you need to do is plug in and go. No worry about the light falling off the car, or anything else.
