According to motorhome Mag. you can now tow the Jeep Patriot 4WD. I am thinking of buying one and would like to know if anyone is towing one and how they like it. TOM

The 2013 patroit came with a couple different transmission/transfer case options. The ones with FULL TIME 4WD can not be towed 4 down or 2 down.
Manual transmission (And transfer case) can. That has always been a reuirement, a MANUAL transfer case.
That said, The Patriot is one darn fine ride.. Last Memorial day weekend I had doctors appointments, Calls on lawyers and a funeral and concert to go to.. So I parked the house at the MOOSE and not having a towed gave a call to Enterprise.
The thing had either 11 or 12 miles on it when they got back to the office with me... And that's the one they gave me.. NICE ride. Seriously nice ride.
I had a older Jeep Wagoneer for four days before my wife crashed it and died.. That was nice too but not nearly as nice as the patriot.
I now drive a Neon when not driving the house.
