We have decided to sell our 06 Tioga Sl MH and get a fiver or TT. The newer ones (2012+) all seem to have that chocolate brown colored cabinetry and funky brown/grayish flooring and dark brown upholstery that just basically look cheap, at least to me and the wife. Plus they are just dark inside. I really like the interiors of the mid 2000's, they just seem richer and higher quality. The problem with that, is most that are clean inside have sun cooked exteriors. Not to mention 10+ year old appliances. I'm sure the higher end RV's are nicer, but in the price range we have looked at ($25-$38k) the color and quality seems disappointing. Anyway just a little rant and we will continue our search for a super clean early/mid 2000's Cardinal or similar RV, hopefully one that has been stored indoors.

We've been shopping around as well and have noticed the same trend although most manufacturers do have lighter colored interiors as an option. Our current 10 year old rig has honey oak colored cabinets, I remember there was a darker wood and color scheme available at the time. Good luck on your search, here's hoping your dream towable is just around the corner.

I agree with the OP. Almost every interior we've seen in the last year has the dark wood cabinets, brown 'leather", and ugly wood-like flooring. Too much brown and too many wood colors. That is why we have kept our Nash instead of trading.

Most manufacturers offer a selection of colors. What you're seeing may just be what the owner wanted. Keep looking. You'll find the right one for you.

Don't know why but they will NEVER change. :(

At least its a step up from just a few years back when all the new ones had raging 60's colors. :R

You'd think if cost was their issue they 'would' use solid nice muted tone colors but noooo they keep putting this garbage multi-colored interiors in the RV's.

I think you're in the minority as they keep setting record sales. It may be that people just take what they get too. Which is of course "Why they won't ever change".
JMO of course but I don't get too wrapped up about interiors. I want a solid RV.

The weird thing to me is most manufacturers follow the leader with their styling. Nobody seems to break away much from the "norm". You would think a manufacturer like Forest River with all their different brands, would offer different colors for different tastes. But they all seem to stick with the same dark brown stuff.
Reminds me of the 90's when teal was the rage and everyone had it. I didn't like it at all. Oh well, such is life.

I'm sure they will change. Why do manufacturers change the exterior colors of their trailers when the old standby, white, is superior in many ways? The idea is to make the old white trailers look dated and inspire people to buy newer trailers. Wait long enough and the current colors will become dated and your old colors will cycle around and become "in" again. Planned obsolescence.

I could deal with the browns if it wasn't so dark inside some of these newer ones. You have dark furniture, trim and flooring, then throw in tinted windows and some are like walking into a cave compared to our Tioga. I suppose it is all what you are used to.
