Is this usually posted in the job/volunteer description? Or told after the fact? Do you know of any areas that specify this requirement? - scrubjaysnestExplorerSome USFS recreation directors have an age limit policy on volunteer rigs.

I can an understand an age/condition restriction, but I think a minimum length requirement is ridiculous.
I am a snowbirder in Ariz 3 months a year. The Rv park I am in has a 10yr. rule at which time they will require an inspection by the staff. They also have a length requirement minimum--- 26 ft.
I agree. The new ones we looked at getting were still under 23 ft. Not that we would never go bigger, but for our first rig we wanted to start small and see how much space we needed. Right now we live in a 2 bedroom house on 2 acres of land, and it's just entirely too much space for us. We basically use our dinning room as storage and our living room is almost empty. Not that we couldn't fill 26', but why start big and go smaller when you can start small and go bigger? - 3oaksExplorer

Can't really post pictures here, I appreciate everyone's comments. :) I don't think it looks shanty, just weathered.
I already got a response back and it wasn't a deal breaker. :) The trailer is a 1990 19' Salem. I'll be nice and cute by the time we're on the road. If anyone has ever been turned away from a job or a park, I would like to hear about that. Likely my BF and I would not be going to those parks anyways, but I love stories!

They bring along skills and attitudes of a blue collar nature.

There did not seem to be an exception if the rv looked good or was in excellent condition. So I guess one could assume that the same would be true of employees of those parks.
- Georgew48ExplorerWe are volunteers for the US Army Corps of Engineeres and had to submit a picture of our unit before we got the job. I think it is to make sure the park dosen't look like a shanty town. As long as the unit is in good repair and presents a respectable image I don't thing age alone would be a show stopper.
- westernrvparkowExplorerQuick answer would be Yes/No/Maybe. We wouldn't allow our workampers to have a "Blue Tarp Special" on the properties, but an older, well maintained rig would likely be fine. If in doubt, do like other have suggested, send a few photos to be sure.
