Diuretics R us

Doctor found I had too much fluid on board, so she gave me a bottle of little white pills & told me to take 2 in the morning & 1 in the afternoon. She assured me that I could continue doing whatever I had been. WELL, I took two this morning & have been to the BR every 10 minutes for the last 4 hours. :E I am thinking about moving the TV coffee maker & a drink holder into the BR just to save time.... :B
  • Might want to contact/see the Doc. again......soon.
Dehydration can be as dangerous as high blood pressure.

Hopefully it will slow down by this evening.
Unless maybe you have a beer or iced tea in your hand from dawn to dusk.
  • Just wait until you are driving the RV. Those rest areas seem to have moved further and further down the road!!

Not if your driving down the road unless your one of those people we read about that just puts it on cruise control and gets up to go to the back.
  • I feel your pain.I take one a day for fluid retention. Is this past of getting older?,lol.

If I set out on the road extended periods with no stops,it gets worse and sometimes I have to take 2 a day for 3 days or so and prop the old legs up,but once I do that and exercise ( walking ) it tends to get back to normal.

But yeah, that first few hours when that pill get to working kinda keeps ya at the restroom door huh?.
  • On a related note my Dr. gave some Flomax a few years back for the opposite problem. Let me tell you what I could drive 8 hours drinking everything under the sun and not go once.

    Sure, doesn't everybody ??

Honestly, I've gotten pretty good at finding good places to stop for a minute when necessary: Wide spots on the shoulder, dead left turn lanes, church parking lots (except Sunday), big box retailers, etc. Starting to look early helps.
  • I had my prostate removed about 7 years ago. When I get the urge to go it is "NOW". I have been fortuate in not needing the pads they suggested but it sure is great to have the bathroom only 6 feet away.
