Funny to me...knew that a mule is a cross between a horse and donkey, but didn't
know that there is also a 'hinny' when checking to see I got what is a mule right...
3 mule power and no HP...hilarious!!!! Wonder how much torque is there, or is
there a formula to figure "mule power"?
OK, it's time for a school lesson. If you're a "city" person, you probably will not know this. If you are a "country" person, you've probably lived with it all your life. A little off topic here, I know, but since you mentioned ... here it goes:
There is:
Male Horse
Female Ass
Male Ass
Female Horse
When the various combinations are bread together:
Male Horse and Female Ass = Mule (The mule could be male or female). Most Muels (not not "all" are steril). So, if you ever encounter a "mule breeder' you may want to sell him your ocean front property in Arizona.
Ass, Donkey, Jacksass and Burro... are all synonymous (the same, just name different).
A Male Ass and a Female Horse = a Hinny. The Hinny could be male or female.
There's no evidence, pro or con, on a Hinny reproducing, but I would venture to say they do because i get behind one every day on my way to work!
Now that we are all educated on the proper definitions ... let this GREAT thread continue!
