We have stacked slpendide units. They are bolted down so they don't move around. Wife likes the stacked units better than the combo unit we had a few years ago. Just 2 of us so just small loads are ok. Wife can throw a load in and we can be off doing things we want to do instead of sitting in laundry room 1 day a week.
I have a splendide combo, that was just installed last month when I picked up my H/R Alumascape. I didn't have a chance to see how it came packed from the factory and if there was extra packing for transportation purposes. My theory is that a unit designed for use in an RV may have special dampeners in it to absorb bumps when you travel but a compact unit made for home unit would not requite anything special because it would not be expected to be tossed around. I assumed that when I bought the Splendide it would be designed to handle bumps better and be more durable
