Do you always check your slides before closing?

Every time I close our slides I climb on the roof and inspect/sweep them before closing. I'm not thrilled with the walking on the roof, but haven't yet splurged on a telescoping ladder. Anyway, I ...

One thing I found about slide toppers is they don't stop all the water. I found this out when I pulled out of the campsite and stepped on the brakes for the first time. I got a nice cold shower from the water on top of the slide.
