Do you always check your slides before closing?

Every time I close our slides I climb on the roof and inspect/sweep them before closing. I'm not thrilled with the walking on the roof, but haven't yet splurged on a telescoping ladder. Anyway, I ...

having no desire to get up on the roof or a ladder every time we need to pull in a slide has long been my prime motivation for having slide toppers .... wouldn't have a camper without them
