Do you carry?
Folks: There are times each of us has nearly run out of fuel on a trip. Has anyone carried a 5 gallon can of fuel as a spare "just in case"?

I carry a five gallon can of diesel. My Duramax gets about eight mpg towing, 26 gal tank. The stretch of I10 between San Antonio and Van Horn has weak diesel, maybe 6mpg towing. You can easily run out if not careful.
