Do you carry?
Folks: There are times each of us has nearly run out of fuel on a trip. Has anyone carried a 5 gallon can of fuel as a spare "just in case"?

In 20 years, I ran out once. Wife hurt knee in CA and trying to get home to Dr in TX. Lots of stress, didn't refuel @ Needles to Kingman, but forgot about the continual climb between the two cities. Highway Patrolman laughed his head off when asked why I was waiting outside the truck for road svc ---- told him I didn't like being in the cab w/wife. (Nag, nag, I told you so, what were you thinking, etc, etc). Made it w/in 8 mi or so of Kingman. So close, so far. Haul 5 gal diesel jerry now; never used yet.
