I know this may sound a little silly asking this, but if you are in a quake zone and your house is destroyed how do you think the RV will survive? I wish you all the luck in the world.
Permanent structures are attached to the earth via the foundations, and when the earth moves it can damage or destroy these structures.
However, RV's motorhomes and trailers are supported by tires setting on the surface and are made to withstand impact loads when being towed or driven. These same impact loads are very similar to an earthquake; therefore would have no adverse impact on the RV. The only exception to this safety issue is if a structure falls on top of the RV. This is especially true should the RV be parked adjacent to an unreinforced masonry building. These buildings have not been built in California since the 1933 Long Beach earthquake. So do not park your RV next to an old masonry building if you plan to use it as a safe home in event of an earthquake.
