We've had a Flair air hide-a-bed sofa for 7 years and it's been used quite a bit. You have to be careful you don't pinch it when stowing it away, but honestly, it's pretty decent to sleep on if you discount the squeaky noise when you move. As a sofa, it's comfortable, but the seat area is quite short so lying down takes some balance. Like most other things, once you get used to it, it's fine.
