Do You Keep an RVing Log or Diary?

I reference our--and my--many years on the road more often than one might think. What road did we take to X? What was the name of that great campground in Y? When did I replace the water pump?

We just use a blank 5'' by 7'' book. It is nice to be able to look up the name of a campground that we used five years ago and that we want to find again (or avoid), or which movies we watched last year, or some meals that we cooked and would like to try again, or the name of the Ford dealership where I got a 5000-mile service when we were in some town years ago, or who knows what else.

Yes. Mainly fuel mileage and maintenance items. Have a section that has contact info for camp areas we like along with preferred sites and or coordinates for dry camp areas. We just use a simple three ring binder with three built in dividers.

And gas was only about $3 a gallon. :(

I use one called The Campers Journal. Got it as a gift a few years back and love using it. It is fun to go back and read few years later, especially since we have kids. I also put down the price of fuel just so many years from now, the kids and their kids can look at it.

After each trip or during the trip when there's a little downtime, I journal. Funny and challenging moments, interesting food, people, places, etc. I take a few pictures and then compile the whole season into a Shutterfly hard cover book. It's fun to reminisce and remember why camping is our vacation of choice.

Definitely. I use an essay book and then copy the information into my computer so I can reference things easily.
