Depends on the temp and how much shade is available.
Direct sun and much warmer than 70 degrees out, yeah, genny will be purring along to drive the A/C to keep the camper from turning into an oven.
Shade and in the mid to low 70s, naw, don't need it except for when I need to run higher wattage A/C appliances, like the microwave or toaster. Likely will run it for a couple hours to charge the batteries back up to replenish from any movie watching or computer use off the inverter the night before.
