I always give warning about running my generator, as well as making sure to shut it off earlier than the times I give.
Eventually, I plan to make a boondocking trailer that can do solar/batteries, and have a pretty large, vented compartment inside. I have been wanting to get a number of golf cart batteries (in pairs) so the only time I need to worry about flipping on the generator is if I need the A/C on. I might even make a very sound insulated (but with a high airflow so the generator doesn't overheat) second compartment so I could run a Honda eu2000i generator to charge the batteries at night if needed without disturbing the peace.
