Do you RV without your significant other?

Ed and I enjoy traveling/sightseeing together - but I also go camping with my kayaking group, often on the same weekend that he's dragracing (clearly - 2 polar opposite interests...LOL!). I feel very comfortable driving and setting up - I guess my only "must do" is to camp at a state park or private campground, which I think are safer than boondocking, for example?

As the OP says - I know more about the operation of the RV than Ed does :-)

I go on site with out of town customers for a week at a time. I really dont call it camping.

However, it means the rig is ready to go and many times she will come out and meet me at the end of the week and we head from there to points unknown!

Only during hunting season when I've got enough vacation time built up to take off workdays. DW still joins me when she can get away. As far as DW going off on her own, no way. She'll haul the boat anyplace but wouldn't ever haul the trailer. When she does vacate on her own (on her own with one or more of her friends, she never goes anywhere truly alone) it's in the car and overnighting in hotels or cabins.

We are just staring into this .before kids I will take off on my motorcycle for weeks just roaming. After kids I have not done this. We started camping in 2013. We got a pup. Again it was a family thing. Now we have the TT, she is taking the kids camping in a campground we have camped and she pratically spent all her summer as a kid
Her go were seasonal there... I just as a matter fact was searching fot my 2 person tent for some motorcycle trips....

Mid-coach is the brain center of entertainment. Three 80-inch screens that can double as either closed circuit satellite receivers or game console screens. It’s there that the “to Die For” wet bar is placed. This are area can be closed off from the formal dining area, or opened up for tennis matches.


I did have to sacrifice at least one option, no escalator, but the basement does carry my Maserati and 2 Harleys, a MotoGuzzi and a BMW.

Our drivers and staff have their own RV.

Your husbands concerns are certainly legit, I would think that anyone that loved someone else would have the same fear, unless those concerns would cause issues with your marriage I don't see what harm trying it would cause.

Yes, wife is in Oswego with new grandchildren (Boy & Girl) twins. has been their since Feb 23rd. Returning April 4th. I have been dry-camping, traveling from Apache Junction to Cottonwood. I cook, clean, setup, tear-down. Been doing all the little honey will you please fix this items.

I do it every year. The wife takes the kids to Europe to visit her family and I travel alone. This year, it's two months.

A few months ago, I dropped them off at the Phoenix airport where they flew out to go skiing for two weeks. I repositioned the MH to Orlando and picked them up there.

The big difference for me is my lack of motivation to get out and sight see without the family. I have to force myself to get out of the RV.

A few times a year I go on a golf RV trip for 4-5 days with about 15 of my friends. No wives, no girlfriends, no kids. However, dogs are fine. :)

My wife thinks it's great to get away every so often to recharge your batteries. Nothing like time with friends to tell lies, eat like pigs, drink a bit too much and play golf all day.
