Lizzie.... Sometimes being a little OCD is a good thing!! LOL!
Hubby and I go through the house every 6 months. We go through absolutely everything...except for tools. I could sit and tell you exactly what is in each drawer and every cupboard in our house.
It is a good feeling to have a good clean out. This last time we had 3 industrial garbage bags to go to the thrift store and only 1 small bag of garbage.
To make things easier to find and keep the "clutter" down, everything is in a clear basket/bin. Even things like facecloths are in a clear bin. It keeps them tidy. It might look a bit commercial when you open a cabinet and see all these small bins but everything has its place, it is neat and tidy and no dust on things.
