I drove an electric spark at my work. It was kinda small, but mileage was fantastic! It never needed any gas! I would drive it to go pick up parts, and usually the max distance was only about 20 miles roundtrip.
The electric one has about a 75 mile range. They do make a 120 volt charger, as well as the more permanent 220 volt charger. Charge locations are showing up in a lot of places out west. My boss has a electric spark, and will drive it to the coast, more than 85 miles, and he stops at a Casino along the way, stays for about 2 hours to get a good recharge from their 220 volt charger. Cost is only about $2 to refill the battery 50%.
The boss has a home in Lincoln City, as well as Portland OR. So he can charge in either location, as well as some car chargers at my work.
Good luck,
Fred.
