In a house don't forget the washer hoses. Many are still made out of rubber. Seem waay too many of those breaking and flooding an entire house while they were away on vacation. I always shut the water off to the washing machine.
IMHO, JMHO I think many newer RV'ers don't think of the ramification of even just a little bit of water on the floors or inbetween the walls of an RV. Yes our houses may have particle board under tile, carpet or hardwood laminate BUT there is REAL solid wood and/or concrete under that!
If water ruins your carpet in a real house and 'maybe' goes thru to the laminate you just put new laminate down over the existing wood floor and/or concrete floor.
In an RV the laminate/particle board IS your floor. Your ONLY floor. It gets wet and falls apart you have no floor. There is no concrete or sub floor. And RV walls are all particle board also.
Which is why it is so important that 'water' does not get to anything in an RV.
