We always turn off the water and the water heater when leaving the RV even if it is only for a short period of time. We have a piece if property with a garage, no house, and the garage has a full bath. We also turn off the water heater and shut the water off that comes into the garage. When we leave the area for the winter, we run antifreeze thru all the lines including the washer and then lock the water shut at the meter. Keep in mind this is a small town and we were given a lock and key from the utility to do this. That way we do not have to track them down to get water service whenever we are there. Better to be proactive than have to deal with damage.
