Does anyone drain the HOT water heater . . . .

We generally camp with full hook ups. I turn off the water heater and move the remaining hot water into the gray tank before flushing. I then drain the water heater before departing and will refill when I arrive on the next trip. No sense hauling an extra 80 pounds of water each way.
