Does Good Sam provide auto insurance

Do they provide policies that cover auto, RV, RSA, ETC and is it a good price? Or is there other companies that you would recommend?

Thanks

  • Our Good Sam/National General full timing policy on our motor home and car combined is about $1200 per year.

We're with Progressive. Reasonable rate, though I don't recall what it is, the wife pays the bills. Shop around.

I called good sam to inquire about insuring our motorhome, they quote me SEVEN THOUSAND DOLLARS!!!

I find this estimate really, really, really hard to believe. This is so far out in left field that I can't even imagine it as a figment.

We insure our new Phaeton and four autos with Good Sam (National General) for about $3k/year. We actually get it cheaper due to the fact that we reduce the coverage on the mh during the winter months with comprehensive only.....also during the summer months we remove three of our four vehicles completely and then re-insure them at the same price when we return for the summer. These two reductions reduces our overall yearly cost by another $500 to $700.

We have found insurance cheaper for the MH, but with the four autos it turns out to be more....also visa versa...autos cheaper but with the mh it is more.

We've only had two small claims (windshield and slide out topper) and both were taken care of promptly and efficiently with only the deductible being our cost.

I hung up and called Geico (they already insured our cars) and they quote $800 (for 6 months)

I know this is good sam / camping worlds forum, but I'd shop long and hard before giving them a check for insurance or road service or....

Yes, they have insurance available. However, you need to shop around as I have always found better pricing from other sources. And insurance rates vary from state-to-state so my good rates here you may not be able to match where you live.
