Does Solar Power have to be installed perm?
I have seen some people set up solar panels next to their camper at a site where there is no power hook up at all. But now that I'm researching solar power for my RV, it seems like all need to be wire...

Yes it is pretty easy,I have the Renogy Suitcase simple set up. Kit comes with Alligator clips for battery. The included carrying case makes it safe and easy to store in my cargo compartment.
I chose to make up a hardwired extension to the battery with a quick disconnect under the side of the RV.
I like shady spots if I can get them and this way I can put the panels where there is sun.
