We travel approximately 3-5 months each year, usually run from Alabama to Idaho and back, about 6-8k miles each year. We started in 08, and for the first four years, we got by with about $2100 a month for travel budget. There were two of us in a gas pickup pulling a 25 tt. Figured 40% for fuel, 40% for food and camping, and 20% misc. It was tight the months we moved a lot, but the slow months helped the averages.
