Doing without propane
I eat alot raw and enjoy use of the microwave. For heat would there not be possible alternatives for a small 24 ft. motorhome? I have never tried anything but propane and would want something very saf...

Doug, you still haven’t quite answered. Was the “propane place” a filling station, or a place that does tank installations and work on propane fuelled vehicles?
A ‘filling station’ will not have anyone with the proper knowledge or certification to give a qualified opinion.
As mentioned previously, your tank went all the same places as your frame it’s bolted to, if the tank rusted enough to be unsafe, the frame would be shot too.
