Dolly Saftey Chains Alternative

Question

Dolly towing not much more hastle than a towbar, except for crawling under to hook up the safety chains.
Code calls for chain, cable, or strap to be leagal.
So why not just get another pair of straps, and install a hook or snap on each end, and throw it over the 1st set of straps, hook or snap it to something solid on the dolly ?
Whatcha all think ? Sure would beat laying on the ground in the rain.

Road master states it is up to the person if they want to use safety chains, same with master tow. You are using basket straps made of 12000 lb webbing with a braking figure of 5000 lbs on each wheel. If chains make you feel better use them. New York does not require safety chains from dolly to car on dolly but all states require safety chains from dolly to towing vehicle. Acme EZ TOW dolly gives you safety chains with their dolly.

I think it is law to safety chain any "coupling", but I never thought of a "car to dolly" not being a coupling, but I could have figure such, because if it was, it would be illegal to tow it in the first place. (in OR anyway)
We all know it don't "NEED" safety chains to be safe, so in that case, it ain't gonna get'm if I have to lay in the dirt !!:)
