We've had our Bullet Premier 31BHPR for 2 1/2 years with zero issues. In that time it has been "accidentally" pooped in by our now 9 year old three times.Ten days ago we went camping and everything was fine for the first 5 days and then the toilet began to stink. Looking down it with the water off the downspout was blocked with toilet paper, (the RV friendly stuff not the home stuff). On trying to dislodge it with a stick I found there seemed to be a plastic "shelf" below the paper. I've looked online for a "schematic" of the black tank so I know whether its supposed to be there or whether there's something down there, (I've read about cutouts being left in the system but it seems too solid for that).I don't spend a lot of time looking down that hole so I'm unsure what I should be looking at. I thought that once the flapper valve was open at the top then there should be a straight drop to the bottom of the black tank. Thus, to find an obstruction is a little perturbing.Could someone please tell me what I should be looking at when I look down the hole so I don't go trying to remove something that really should be there...Thanks in advance...

Mine goes into the black tank but the part it drops into is at about a 60 degree angle. Kind of like this \. Kind of like a turd slide. :B I think it's to keep the "plop and splash" factor down?

You should be seeing the bottom of the tank. Have you attempted to put any additional water in the tank through the toilet?

Your tanks should look something like this...What works good is to use a flex water wand going down inside the POT and wash out the long slope bottom of the tank. Maybe have some build up there...Something like this (didn't find a good photo of what I really wanted to show here but you can get the idea I think)...Even a water hose will work too but the flex wand works best...Roy Ken

The tank is only as thick as the trailer frame. The bottom of the tank maybe only about 6 or 8 in. below the floor of the trailer.

My toilet has a pipe which is on an angle into the black tank, not straight down. Have snaked it when it clogged up, also cut off a piece of hose, attached it to a 25' garden hose, with a cutoff valve at the attached area. Shove the cutoff hose down below the clog, open outside black valve and slowly start water so it will fill beneath the clogged portion. Crappy job, but someone has to do it.The wand with the flexible piece on it is better, but for temp fix, the hose will work, too.

Maybe I'm missing something here but with my "Tornado" black tank flush system. The flush take about five minutes.

We're still in a record setting draught out here and water is at a premium. Refilling the tank after draining, and flushing seems a little excessive, draught or no drought.

I told the ladies (DW & DD) to just hold down the flusher while washing their hands. This allows a decent amount of water into the tank. While we RVers are limiting our water usage everywhere else, this is one place to actually increase your water usage. I do not want a problem with my black tank, and both DW and DD agree to that one!!

Women use a LOT of toilet paper even for a pee!...I told my wife to put the pee wipes in the trash and flush the poop wipes!...we always dry camp and have a small blacktank so we use as little water as possible.

It might just be a paper backup. I've had a similar problem twice now with the new Montana, and I've never used RV TP. Without a proper "tool" on hand, I turned off the water and found a convenient tree branch with a slight curve and stirred it around till I softened the mess, then ran a lot of water thru the toilet and it cleared.

The first time I thought the pipe took a sharp bend and that was the scene of the blockage, but I think what I have is as RoyB showed. The second time I had three gurls, two women and me in the RV, and the TP just built up till it filled the downpipe. I obviously have to retrain the gurls (haha) or me keep a closer eye on it (yuck). I'm still not giving in to the RV TP "requirement" because I'm stubborn like that.

Well the paper likely comes the ladies of the house, as they tend to wipe after peeing. They need to add some water to the tank before opening the valve to float that away.

No reason not to Poop in the RV toilet, just fill the bowl with water before opening the valve. It also doesn't hurt to pre-fill the bowl a bit before doing a #2.

Make sure that when you dump there is water all the way to the begining of the pipe that connects to the toilet, you might be dumping with out sufficient water to flush everything out and there are remnants left over, or you have the black tank valve open, these systems are not the same as a house.

Black water tank valve always closed, use the facility until there is enough water to be seen in the pipe to the toilet, then dump, use a clear addapter to see the fluid going by, then after dumping close the valve, refill the black tank with water and dump again, you will be surprised how much paper and human by product remains after dumping yust once.

I think just using the toilet as a urinal can cause just as many problems as it solves. You are finding out not enough water and just paper products can turn into concrete pieces.
