A. As a truck driver, it is discouraging when I hear someone make a comment about "those dumb@$$ truck drivers". First off, I bees calledge ejukated--second, most drivers are just trying to make a living. RVers seem to have a bit of a love/hate relationship with their bigger brothers :BB. As a person who enjoys RVing, I always get a chuckle when towing my TT and I hear some recent truck school grad on the C.B. commenting how I should have a special license---and probably can't even back the trailer up. I chuckle because I never went to any fancy 6 week school---I learned the old way, with the guy who owned the truck next to me, threatening to beat me in the head if I wrecked his truck. I probably have more miles backing up, then that smart@$$ has going forward (he doesn't know about "A").HOWEVER... Stupid is STUPID. Please note the parking spaces to the left & the spots to the right. The angle wasn't the best, but this RV is squarely parked in the travel lane between the parking spaces.Please don't be this person...

You could get a box of these and hand them out

I've read plenty of posts here on this forum.I'm not surprised at this pic at all.

They didn't have time to park it correctly. The special on the chicken fried steak was about to run out!

Truck drivers are just like any other group of people....some of them are great, some OK, and some are less than OK. I've had a lot of truck drivers signal me when it's ok to pass into a lane or provide an opening to get over. In return, I try to return the favor when I see that a truck needs to merge in front of me. I've never encountered any grief when parked in a truck stop area where it's the only place for RVs to park. And, I know it certainly isn't an easy way to make a buck! For the drivers that are less than OK, after saying a few "not so nice" words to myself....or to the DW, I just ignore them as they're not any worse than a lot of folks driving cars!

At least they didn't leave the RV parked at the diesel pumps while they ate in the restaurant, before they did a little shopping.You can't fix rude/stupid.

That could have been me in Kentucky two weeks ago. (figuratively)

I pulled into a rest stop that had very long drive thru parking spaces for trucks/RVs.

When I pulled in the place was almost full. I parked between two Semis w/trailers. When I parked, I did NOT pull all the way to the front of the parking space. If I had, another driver would not have seen that the space was taken. Thus, the rear end of my camper was even with the rear of the trucks.

When I returned from the restroom, the trucks were gone and I looked like I was parked in the middle of NOWHERE!

Just sayin'

I hate cars that park in the truck/trailer side of the rest area. I don't know what they are thinking, especially when they are so far up in the space that you can't see them until you're making the turn.

On the flip side, I see big rigs parked in the dump station all the time in the I-5 Gee Creek rest area. I wonder what's up with that?

10-4 on passenger cars using Truck/RV parking. I have seen it many times. My observations have been they are mostly dog walkers. I have seen truckers use the curb space behind passenger car parking. Not a good idea.

I wish I had taken a picture of the Harley parked in a truck parking spot at an I-75 rest area in Florida last week, talk about being "that guy".

Truckers should be the last people who complain about people and their parking. When the on ramps are often packed with trucks right in front of the numerous No Parking signs. Then of course let's not forget the left behind pee bottles in various parking lots. People in glass houses.

The reason the trucks are parked on the onramps is because the rest areas are full of RVs. The pee bottles I dont really know about. The drivers have rules, the RVs dont. Not to be pissy!

Those rest areas are for everyone that needs a long parking space. They were paid for by every taxpayer. Let's stop the nonsense about who does and does not have a right to park a long vehicle in the rest areas.

A lot of the time, not always, the first guy in can set the whole parking lot into to a mess. It gets worse the farther down the line you go.
