15 years ago I was diagnosed with lung cancer. As a result three lobes ( the right lung) were removed. I decided then that time was to precious to waste. I decided to enjoy the time I had left with the people I love. I stopped telling myself that I would do something tomorrow or some time in the future. Since then, I travel when we can, volunteer when we can, and spend as much time with those I love as I can. The serenity prayer has a real meaning to me. Take time to smell the roses but don't waste a second. Time is one thing you can't get back or get a do over.
