BTW, I was still correct, sales tax is NOT required on Internet purchases, and sales tax collection is a requirement of the seller.
In PA, it is not uncommon to have a state tax audit of businesses. I assisted a couple of companies with theirs. They want to see all major purchases, including 'likely to be purchased online' and look for sales tax and/or use tax payment.
Don't know any private persons who were in that situation, though.
