Don't understand

Dear Daughter (OTR Semi Driver) called to ask me what part of "CLOSED to High Profile, light-weight vehicles" do RVers not understand?? So far today she has seen four RVs rolled off the road (I-80 in Nebraska) today.
  • My guess is that an RV is a very, very heavy vehicle in the minds of many owners. A more specific sign would probably be more successful.
  • A lot of truckers don't understand that a semi trailer is high profile, and can be low weight. I learned long ago that the rule is "Don't mess with Mother Nature, she's a woman, and you are always wrong"
  • They couldn’t mean MY RV...could they? I ALWAYS load my RV heavy..steaks, wine, potatoes...
  • Use to seeing the same thing on I-70 as well, although most of the blow-overs are semi's.
