Maybe over kill but I had the parts on hand. Some 1/32" stainless cable with solder lugs crimped on the ends. Wood screwed one end on the door, the other on the jamb. If you put one twist in the wire, it will snap down when you close the door and not stick out or get stuck in the hinge.

Use two medium small screw eyes. Attach a piece of cord.
Both - no strain on the hinge and nothing to rattle.
