I had some cheap round bars that I got in 2000. they showed some wear in the hitch and the bars after about 40,000 miles. In 2010 we bought a new TT and needed to change the 750 lb to 1000 lb. It only took about 6 or 8000 miles and the hitch was worn out and I had to get a new one. I think changing the bars did the hitch in.
